One of Eric Home Renovation (Special Renovation Projects) was done on Building 60 (Heritage House) which belong to Canada Agricultural. This project was awarded to us and perform in 2008 in Ottawa, ON Canada.
Experimental Farm - Agricultural Canada
In 1886, after a period of persistent lobbying by Minister of Agriculture, Sir John Carling and Director of Research William E. Saunders, the Central Experimental Farm was established just outside of the city of Ottawa, Ontario. The farm originally consisted of 188 hectares that would be used for scientific experiments related to botany and horticulture. The Building 60, the present day office of the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal, was constructed on the Farm in 1889 by the Department of Public Works and acted as the residence for senior cereal grains research personnel. The house was declared a Heritage House in 1999 for its picturesque Queen Anne Revival style.
In 2008 the Minister of Agriculture Canada wanted the Building 60 to come back to life and bring back to its original look and construction. So Public Works did a public bit to many Canadian competent contractors and it is our business that was awarded the bid for the project. The work that was needed to be done consisted of many up-grade on this historical residence, including; historical veranda, foundation and flooring structure. The contract was completed on time and now many Canadian and tourists can enjoy this wonderful historic building.
